Description
A genuinely useful middle size: enough capacity to carry heating and hot water through a cold snap without dominating the yard.
Typical service is a small house, a holiday let, or a well-insulated property with a light heating demand.
Filled to the 80% limit this vessel holds about 200 gallons of propane — roughly 18 million BTU, or about 848 lb of product. Against a steady 100,000 BTU/hr load that is roughly 8 days of continuous running before it needs refilling.
The next size down is 200 gallons and the next up is 320. Stepping up costs less than most people assume once freight is counted only once.

Siting notes
Surface installation keeps the whole vessel inspectable. Coating faults, valve seepage and gauge problems are all visible before they become expensive, which is the main argument for staying above ground where the site allows it.
This is supplied as equipment, not as an installed service. NFPA 58 and your local authority govern how and where it may be set.
Condition and documentation
Straight from the manufacturer, never filled, with the warranty and documentation transferred to you on purchase.
All connections are inspected and protected for transit, so the installing contractor starts with clean threads and a working gauge.
Running costs
A tank you own has no rental charge attached to it, and no clause tying you to one supplier’s posted price.
Before you order
Check your local clearances before ordering. Setback distances from buildings, boundaries and ignition sources are set by code and they decide where — and sometimes whether — a given capacity can go.
Think about the delivery vehicle as well as the tank. A site a bulk truck cannot reach turns a cheap refill into an expensive one for the rest of the tank’s life.
