Full domestic service — space heating, water heating and every gas appliance in the property.
Filled to the 80% limit this vessel holds about 400 gallons of propane — roughly 37 million BTU, or about 1,696 lb of product. Against a steady 100,000 BTU/hr load that is roughly 15 days of continuous running before it needs refilling.
Against the 330 gallon it buys real headroom; against the 1,000 it saves footprint and pad. That trade-off is usually decided by the site, not the load.

Getting it on site
Buried installation keeps the vessel out of sight and off the usable footprint of the plot, which is usually why it is chosen over an above-ground tank of the same capacity. The trade-off is excavation, a dome and riser for access to the valves, and cathodic protection that has to be maintained.
Our responsibility ends at the delivery; a licensed propane contractor takes it from there. Codes on siting, clearances and commissioning are not optional and not ours to sign off.
Condition and certification
The exact condition and specification are confirmed in writing before you pay, along with the test record for the vessel itself.
The gauge and the relief valve get particular attention — an unreadable gauge causes bad decisions and a tired relief valve causes worse ones.
Running costs
A tank you own has no rental charge attached to it, and no clause tying you to one supplier’s posted price.
Before you commit
If you are between two capacities, go up. A tank that never drops below about 30% refills more cheaply per gallon and spends less of its life on the supplier’s emergency list.
Buy the documentation, not just the steel. A vessel without a legible stamp and a test record is worth a fraction of one with both, whatever the listing says.
