Filled to the 80% limit this vessel holds about 264 gallons of propane — roughly 24 million BTU, or about 1,119 lb of product. Against a steady 100,000 BTU/hr load that is roughly 10 days of continuous running before it needs refilling.
In our range it sits between the 325 gallon and the 500 gallon. If the load is borderline, the 500 is the safer buy and the freight is the same either way.

Siting notes
Surface installation keeps the whole vessel inspectable. Coating faults, valve seepage and gauge problems are all visible before they become expensive, which is the main argument for staying above ground where the site allows it.
Setting and commissioning must be done by a licensed propane professional in line with NFPA 58 and local code. Ask us if you need a name in your area.
Condition and certification
Whether new or certified used, nothing ships without a live stamp, a passed pressure test and the documentation to prove both.
We check the relief valve, the service and fill connections and the float gauge on every unit. These are the parts that fail first and the parts that matter most.
The economics
A tank you own has no rental charge attached to it, and no clause tying you to one supplier’s posted price.
Buying notes
Order ahead of the season if you can. Everyone specifies propane storage in the first cold week, and that is the worst week to be waiting on freight.
Check your local clearances before ordering. Setback distances from buildings, boundaries and ignition sources are set by code and they decide where — and sometimes whether — a given capacity can go.
