Service is usually a mixed load — heating, hot water and process or kitchen demand on the same vessel.
Filled to the 80% limit this vessel holds about 800 gallons of propane — roughly 73 million BTU, or about 3,392 lb of product. Against a steady 100,000 BTU/hr load that is roughly 30 days of continuous running before it needs refilling.
Against the 500 gallon it buys real headroom; against the 1,150 it saves footprint and pad. That trade-off is usually decided by the site, not the load.

Installation and siting
Siting above ground trades appearance for access. Everything that will ever need attention — valves, gauge, regulator, coating — stays within arm’s reach.
Have a licensed propane professional lined up before the vessel arrives. Permits, setbacks and the commissioning test all sit with them, and scheduling is easier before the tank is on the ground.
Certification and paperwork
Whether new or certified used, nothing ships without a live stamp, a passed pressure test and the documentation to prove both.
We check the relief valve, the service and fill connections and the float gauge on every unit. These are the parts that fail first and the parts that matter most.
Refills and running costs
Running a tank down to the reserve costs money twice: emergency delivery rates, and the risk of an interruption at the worst possible time.
Before you commit
Ask what the regulator and first-stage arrangement will be. The tank is only half the specification, and the wrong regulator will starve appliances the vessel could easily supply.
